Below are the development stages of the design. The puppet was designed to have a work uniform carved on to it, to show that the character could never take it off or escape from his job. This puppet needed to have a removable arm that could come off during the show. The puppet was designed for multiple operators, but also had be able to be operated by one person if COVID restrictions changed.

This puppet was created using a variety of methods. A full scale drawing of the design was used to create cardboard templates which could be traced on to the wood, which was then cut using a bandsaw. Theses wooden blocks were then carved down using carving knives and a dremel. This puppet was partially carved in a bedroom due to having to self-isolate. The wood was then burnt using a pyrography pen to create shading and colouration.
